Learn to dry-point etch and print in this workshop inspired by The Discerning Eye: Stefano Della Bella and Jacques Callot’s Printed Worlds. Both artists were renowned for their innovative artistic skills in the 17th century. Participants will learn cross hatching and various shading techniques from these masters of print. They will then explore innovative ways to print their own contemporary artworks.

The content and health and safety requirements of this workshop have been designed specifically for this age group. Please ensure that you are booking the appropriate workshop for your child. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings outside this age group. If you would like to discuss the workshop further or have any special requirements please contact Martin Langdon, Gallery Educator Families:

Bookings close the day before the workshop. We are not able to take bookings on the day.

On the day:
Parents, please present your Eventfinda ticket to the Gallery Assistants at the Front Desk upon arrival to receive your child’s entry wristband. Please allow ten minutes to sign in and settle your child in the Studio.

Children must be dropped off and picked-up in the Studio on the lower ground level. The contact number for the Studio is 09 890 2278.

Children should come ‘dressed for mess’ so we ask that they bring a smock, apron or old T-shirt to protect their clothing.
