Keynote Speaker - Phil Gifford -
A prolific writer and broadcaster Phil Gifford will be launching his latest book Looking After Your Nuts & Bolts: Kiwi Men’s Health Guide, and entertaining us with some terrific anecdotes he’s collected writing it. He’s interviewed a whole lot of kiwi legends for his material and taken on a little medical advice from our own Dr Graeme Washer. Don’t be scared, Nuts & Bolts doesn’t suggest a switch to silverbeet sandwiches, organic oat bran enemas, kale smoothies, or naked sweat lodge fasting. We’ve had a sneak preview and we reckon every kiwi man should own it.
MC - Leigh Hart -
Comedian, Hauraki DJ, TV Personality.
We all know Leigh from the Sportscafe and Leigh Hart’s Mysterious Planet. He’s also the husky voice of Radio Hauraki, a regular columnist for the Sunday Herald, and champion of his own production company. He’s led a fascinating life – childhood in the Andes, tunneling the English Channel, touring with his own rock band, and even a little time spent in a French prison. We couldn’t think of a more entertaining guy to host our Breakfast. It’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun, that’s for sure!
Dr Tom Mulholland -
Emergency Doctor, Man on a Mission.
Tom Mulholland is an Emergency Department Doctor and GP with over 25 years’ experience in New Zealand. He’s currently a man on a mission, tackling health missions around New Zealand in his mobile medical clinic. He has hosted his own TV and Radio shows, written two internationally best-selling books and been a professional speaker to the likes of Google, Microsoft, and Hilton for the last 10 years. Hear Dr Tom’s stories from the front line, and get his take on how to fix our health problem.
Richie Hardcore -
Radio Host, Martial Arts, Social Activist.
If asked for his life motto, Richie Hardcore would be likely to point you towards one of the many tattoos on his arm: “PMA till I’m DOA.” It’s the title of a hardcore song, but the idea behind the acronym, Positive Mental Attitude, is the approach that Richie uses to tackle all aspects of his life, and hopes to instil the same attitude in people he comes across on a daily basis.
Meet the Goodfellas -
Men’s Health is proud to be launching Goodfellas, a social media video campaign designed to give kiwi men the nudge we need to take action with our health. We’re talking to good kiwi fellas about what they’re doing for their own health and their thoughts on what it means to be a man. Our Goodfellas include Ryan Hoffman, Ben Barrington, Sam Mannering, Jack Tame, Dom Harvey, Te Radar, and more. We’re getting as many of our Goodfellas along to the Breakfast as we can, schedules permitting. Come and meet them.
