Nestled in the heart of Takapuna, Bruce Mason Centre is the thriving hub of the arts and entertainment scene on Auckland’s North Shore. Just a stone’s throw from the stunning Takapuna beach, it is within easy walking distance of a wide selection of excellent restaurants, shops and accommodation.

Named after one of New Zealand’s greatest playwrights, the centre was officially opened in 1996. Ever since, this busy and versatile venue has hosted unforgettable shows from family entertainment to dance, music to comedy. A full programme of touring artist and community activities entertains and inspires theatre-goers all year round.

Adding superb comfort to world-class entertainment, the 1119-seat theatre was refurbished with state-of-the-art theatre seating in 2017.  With six flexible venues and the technology to cater for any performance or gathering, Bruce Mason Centre masterfully hosts events from large-scale conferences and banquets to intimate board meetings.
